What monitor are you using?  I've only ever seen specific ones for certain monitors but i don't know much about diy gsync

That was a limited time promotion for the VG248QE from ages ago... those kits haven't been sold in years, and to buy the module and compatible monitor cost the same as a monitor that already has G-Sync.
