Hey there thanks heaps but do you know if the gen 6 cpu affect the bios update to kaby/gen7 like will it still work once the update is done and do we need to wait for something to say your motherboard is compatible with gen 7 now??? i really would like not to fry my motherboard!!!

If you look up the mobo name, it will come up with Asus's site. Go to the tab in the top right corner named 'support', and then go to 'drivers and tools'. In the drop down, select 'others'. open the BIOS tab and it will come up with the files that you can download onto a flash drive, boot into bios, and then update it from there. since BIOS 2003 it has supported 7000 series chips. " Support new CPUs. Please refer to our website at:
http://www.asus.com/support/cpu_support. "

Ok so i have had a problem where i cant see the display on my screen for my pc no matter what port i use on igpu and 1060 gpu except for DP and it still wont show my screen, ive tried the startup problem solver vuide thats on this forum and that didnt work, i tried movong the ram slots and holding down the power button but that doesnt work either, then finally someone has said i need to update the bios because the motherboard obly supports 6000s and needs an update but how do i update the freeking bios when i cant even see my stupid display on my screen no matter what!!! specs below. please someone help me and save me from this nightmare! ?? i dont want to hear that u spent over 1000 nzd to get a faulty pc part or that the hardware is buggered????

You should've bought a B250 Motherboard as that one doesn't support Kay lake out of the box so borrow a skylake chip from friend or neighbor and use it to update bios and then use your cpu that is the only solution.

go to a local pc store near you and see if they will update the bios on your motherboard. otherwise you are kinda out of luck unless you have a 6th gen cpu laying around somewhere.

You can try your a NZ national tech forum and see if they have something going on there where you can borrow a 6th gen CPU.

Over here in the Netherlands On a tech forum they have a CPU nicknamed Kelly going around the Netherlands by mail so people can update their bios.

maybe they have something like that

h110 is a mixed bag - some boards work with 7000 series fine, others don't.

b250 boards work first time every time, and h110 can be updated from the manufacturers website if you can get it to boot with a 6000 series chip.

idk
