Should Ryzen 1800x be compared with 7700k ?

Unfortunately, yes, many said it in this same forum, and the flame wars go on and on.

Really? That's dumb, Ryzen is a very good gaming CPU, it is just not up to par with Z170/Z270 or X99. This doesn't make it bad though. It is still decent for gaming while it is AMAZING for productivity....

Mice: Logitech G Pro X Superlight (main), Logitech G Pro Wireless, Razer Viper Ultimate, Zowie S1 Divina Blue, Zowie FK1-B Divina Blue, Logitech G Pro (3366 sensor), Glorious Model O, Razer Viper Mini, Logitech G305, Logitech G502, Logitech G402

If you mostly do content creation, but you also game, get Ryzen.

If you mostly game, but also do content creation, get a 5820K/6800K.

8c/16t CPU vs 4c/8t CPU ... you can realy compare IPC here.

Just like  i7 6800/6850/6900k can't compare with i7 7700k IPC.

As you can see from reviews, Ryzen 1800X gets about the same single core performance as Intels 8c CPUs. So not bad at all.

And yes i7 7700k is still better for some games. Those with shitty optimisation. Games should depend on GPU more than CPU.

Also right now games are more optimised for Intel than Ryzen, since Ryzen was just released and no1 realy knows how it work xD

Intel i7 12700K | Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X DDR4 | Pure Loop 240mm | G.Skill 3200MHz 32GB CL14 | CM V850 G2 | RTX 3070 Phoenix | Lian Li O11 Air mini

Samsung EVO 960 M.2 250GB | Samsung EVO 860 PRO 512GB | 4x Be Quiet! Silent Wings 140mm fans
