270 and 270x are very similar in performance so it doesn't really matter at such price. If the difference is only 8GBP I would definitely get the slightly faster one.

The 270 and 270x are the exact same card. The 270x is just overclocked.

from what I remember the cheapest rx 460 in the uk costs like 80 pounds. So 10 pounds more for the same performance but with the added benefit of being new and with warranty etc.

Why not check ebay for some used gpus. You can easily find an hd 7970 (r9 280x) or hd 7950 (r9 280) for under 100 pounds and both of them outperform the 460.

I guess 8 pounds more is a decent price to pay to not have to OC it yourself. Get the 270x.

In most cases they are either very similar in performance or the 270x has a slight edge in performance.

they had a gtx 760 in the shop, i went with that as it was $60 and it *with a minor oc* outperforms and has better cooling than the r9 270x.

Megh to be fair I would have preferred to pay an extra 10 pounds and get the hd 7970. Performs much better than either of them and also has an extra gig of vram which would be helpful. As long as you are happy with the card though.

but i traded a ps4 controller and a tablet in for it lel. just unpatient and will run perfectly with my a8-7600 in h1z1
