Budget Graphics Card

Go to solution Solved by Mohenjo,

if you can find a 7870 for a decent price that would be good. though idk how good the psu is.

Backstory:

So a good friend of mine just got laid off from a job she started in January and I want to put together a gaming computer for her with the spare parts I have available to me. I got a free Optiplex 990 from my work with an i5 and 8GB of memory in it. The form factor of the motherboard is a little weird (think fat ITX) but it looks like the holes will match up with an ATX case with lots of room to spare. All I really need is a graphics card.

Actual Question:

What is the best bang for your buck used graphics card in the $50ish range?

buy anything under a 1050

the igpu>gt 730

the motherboard also won't work in another case, they have their own custom power button connector

The 990 case would require a low profile graphics card, and I am not too worried about making an adapter for (ghetto rigging) the power button. I did see a low profile 1050 but it was $150, don't really want to spend that much. I was just wondering if there was some used card that most people preferred because it was cheap but still good. Kind of like $20 the quad core xeons people like to buy on ebay.
