Ryzen VM Support

Hey guys,

Every day it seems something new comes out about the Ryzen and people freaking out.

So my  question is for the guys who already got one and have hopefully done some of this work on it.
I'm looking at going to the 1700 and doing a 2 gamers 1 CPU setup, each getting 8 Threads, dedicated GPU and 8GB each would be enough for me for now.
My Question is has anyone tested the Ryzen virtual PC capabilities yet ? its between this or a second hand X99 setup with a i7-5xxx 6core

Personally I'd rather have the brand new Ryzen but just wanted to find out what the latest word was

You should find Wendell's test interesting then:

Bottom line: it may be too early to trust Ryzen with a 2 gamers, 1 PC setup, as passing through the GPUs can be tricky.

I have KVM with GPU passthrough working here... but it does take a little work in the current state....

Might want to wait a little bit for IOMMU to get more mature.

Thanks guys,

Exactly what I was looking at, Will keep my current spec PC than and just build up another one for the partner.
