So it's worth it? I'm thinking of buying better PC in the future so maybe it will be good idea to buy first PSU, or maybe not? I've heard that it will decrease my power consumption due to efficiency.

EDIT I'm thinking more like buying another HD 7950 in the future.

You will still be consuming the same amount of power, it would just be wasting less with heat/noise.

So you want to put in another 7950 in addition to the one you have already? Those cards draw less power than a Titan so I'd say you'll be perfectly fine.

MAXIMUS VII HERO | i7 4770K w/ H100i | 2x8GB 1600MHz | GALAX GTX 970 x2

First of all, why would you need 2 Titans?

Second of all, a decent 750w would already be more than enough for a 7950 CF.

No one really needs two titans...and if you really want to go that route, go two 780ti's

and yes 850 is more than enough for 2 gpus

The Corsair RM Series 850 should be able to run any dual card setup with headroom to overclock both the GPU's and the CPU.

I had talked about the fan profile of the RM series being rather non-aggressive where it can get very hot, as shown at TechPowerUp where the fan did not spin until 60%+ load, even when the ambient temperature had gone up to 50C with their RM850 review sample. And then today, [H]ardOCP's review sample (two of them) shows that the fan did not turn on even when the internal temperature got too hot, which cause the the OTP (Over Temperature Protection) had to set off.

Of course, the testing procedure that these reviewer do is under extreme condition that it is unlikely going to happen in a more realistic workload, so those who already got it or planning on getting it now likely don't have to worry. But it is an indeed an issue that Corsair had acknowledge and are addressing accordingly.

There will be changes to the fan profile according to the reply that had been made to [H] and posted at the end of the review I had linked.

"Last week were able to duplicate your findings by restricting the airflow to the power supply and because of this have implemented rolling changes to the RM that will allow the fan to turn on sooner if such a condition occurs. As you know, the RM Series PSUs are backed by our 5 year warranty. If a user does experience an issue, we will have their PSU replaced, no questions asked and at no cost to them."

This change had been made within the past week or so but like have not had been shipped out / stock up yet. If you want a sample with these changes, you may want wait a while for them to stock up.
