Hi there, I have a couple of questions about 1440p monitors before I commit to buying anything. Firstly, is it worth spending £100 extra to get 27" over 25"? I would be sitting around 0.5m from it if that's any help. Secondly, I've heard that 1080p videos and other 1080p content looks poor on 1440p and I'm just wondering if there's any truth to this statement? Thanks in advance.

27" is the perfect sweetspot in case of performance and size when you sit infrot of it. 1080p Movies dont look as good as on a full HD Display, but still good enough. Nothing to worry about.

Do you have a 24inch 1080p monitor right now? When browsing the web with a scaling of 90%, do you struggle to read text or anything?

If the answer is a no then just get the 25 inch

If the answer is yes then it's a bit more difficult to answer.

IMO, it's not worth it. As an owner of a 24 inch 1440p monitor, I can say that if you don't struggle with what I've said above then you shouldn't have any issues with text being too small.

It's true but meh, doesn't really matter that much. In the worst case scenario, watch it at 720p, it just means every pixels would be displayed as 4 on a 1440p monitor :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

@Mr.Meerkat I have a 1080p 21 inch monitor at the moment and with 90% I can read everything easily.

Well in that case, scaling wouldn't not be an issue for you (or from my experience, it shouldn't be).

I'd probably say just get the 25 inch 1440p and either save that 100 quid or maybe get a new mice/headphones/headset/keyboard/speakers ect. or even 6-10 pizzas :P

Im getting a 1440p 144hz monitor and i looked at at 24 inch and a 27 inch. Ive decided to go with the 27 inch monitor instead. I find that playing on bigger screens you get more of a buzz from playing games. Now there is not much difference in size from 24 to 27 inch but still there is a difference.
