Switching from a i7 to ryzen?

How expensive was that? I mean, that's a new motherboard, CPU, RAM, and potentially a cooler.

I got $450 for my cpu, mobo, ram, and old cooler. My Ryzen order ended up being about $75-100 on top of what i got. It honestly wasn't that bad, in my opinion.

I sold my 4790k and ordered a Ryzen 1700 this week. I do content creation and game so to me I think it's well worth it. Yeah it might not be the best for gaming but once they fix the bios bugs and windows sorts its issues with this new platform I think it'll give it the boost it needs.

thanks, just the comment i was looking for. i did get the ryzen 1700, now i'm just waiting for other parts.
