Sniper elite 3

I am playing sniper elite 3 on my rig (torrent downloaded). On every startup, after a few saves, either manually done or autosave the game crashes. throws me back to the desktop.

what could be the issue ?

if this is illegally obtained software, yes, it is against the standards. i don't know the distribution scheme used by the developers of Sniper Elite 3 so simply downloading it via torrent may or may not be legitimate. I don't know.
