Best 'budget' Monitor

Andooo

Looking for a monitor below $350. I'm currently unsure whether I should fork out the extra money for 144hz but If anyone has suggestions It'd be appreciated.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Monitor: AOC G2460PG 24.0" 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor  ($330.08 @ Newegg)
Total: $330.08
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Youll never hit 144hz with your current setup, but the GSync will help make it still look smooth and it will be a good thing to have for the future. BUT. For the price of this monitor you could get a Rx480 or even a Fury, which would make a huge difference in gaming over the 960 and would be a much better purchase IMO.

Used to play more FPS games like CS:GO but haven't much recently. If I was still playing as much as I was I'd definitely be buying a 144hz.

The problem is the monitor isn't an upgrade my old one broke. Also I live in New Zealand where that monitor isn't available :(

USD. Yeah I kinda assume it's not gonna help people a lot though, they won't really know what's available here.

Is it not? My brother has a 27inch that I think is awesome, but I don't really play on it much.

Honestly I wouldnt know, I have a 1600x900 Dell monitor cause I blew all my budget on a 970 back when they were still $330 (got mine for $250 though)

its more of a personal opinion thing. PPI is the biggest issue for most people. It really depends on how far away you sit away from your monitor. I sit rather far away from mine so I don't really mind my 27" 1080p monitor and would get another one.
