Software for cloning/imagining hard drives

Hello All,

Could anyone advise on software that is flexible on hard drive sizes for creating an image of a system and restoring on another identical system.

I've tried a good portion of tool in hirens boot cd ending up with a bluescreen or failure when trying to restore the image on another identical laptop or complete failure if hdd size is off.

It would need to be imagining tool, as it needs to be flexible on hdd size, like what comes with samsung SSDs to upgrade, which allows for the hdd size to be smaller/larger than source, highly preferable to be able to launch from usb like hirens boot cd though, to restore from image and not from hdd to hdd...

freestuff actually working;

- Clonezilla

- redobackup

- Gparted

all free, workknv on usb based on linux ...

Simple rules:

- If it works, dont update it.

- You don't know how, just do it, you will learn.

- Test, restest, test again, and maybe it will do it.
