Programmable ceiling fan.

So I could not think of a good forum to ask this on so I will just use my favorite tech forum and see if anybody knows. So here is the deal, when I go to bed I usually need my fan on high but about half way thru the night I wake up because I am too cold and turn it down to medium and then I am happyramid for a few more hours. Then about an hour before I need to get up I get cold again and turn it off. So what I want is a fan that, for example, at 9 pm it turns on and is set to high and then turns down to medium around midnight and turns off around 6:30am. If anybody knows of a product that can do this I would greatly appreciate it if you could share it. If there turns out to be no previous product maybe there is a way to do it with an arduino or a raspberry pi or something like that. Again if you know of a way to do it that way please share.

That would require him still waking up due to discomfort to adjust it, even if adjusting it is easier.  But you've given me an idea...

There are programmable rheostats you can get for things like maintaining a certain temperature in an aquarium/terrarium, and I suspect they can be configured to operate on a timer instead of a temperature sense (but even if not, temperature might work).

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

So pretty much you just need a timer with a dimmer built in, I'm assuming it also needs to go in a switch box..

Not seeing much that people are selling or even discussing in terms of something related online, so that's gonna be a bit tricky.

Perhaps just use a dimmer and find a speed for the fan that doesn't make you cold? Or a regular timer that just shuts the fan off at a certain time? Then maybe have it turn it back on a little later, then back off again later?

You can go multiple routes for this. In my eyes the most permanent solution is to take a temperature sensor and a relay board with a raspberry pi or arduino. Just let it check the temperature in a timely matter and in certain ranges let it be on  high, medium or off. This way you can make it adjust on the temperature that you like. And when it heats up again, it will automaticly turn on again. Ofcourse you can also program it to only work at certain times.
