Hello guys im new to forums and i heard about this site on the linus youtube channel . I have a question , 3 years ago my brother suprised me with a computer but it was a pre build one so now im trying to upgrade it and i wanna know if i could install my new GPU while im waiting for my new power supply i looked at a power supply calculator and this happened http://outervision.com/b/bLS9eK my current power supply holds up to 400w or 450 and i think its a delta power supply ( i never heard such power supply ) and the power supply that im gonna receive in a few days is gonna be a corsair vs650 and my new gpu is a RX 470 4GB . So what do you think? can i install it before my new power supply ou should i wait ? and do you think my new power supply is good to run everything without any problems ?

My current specs : Intel Core i7-4770  ; 1 x 8GB DDR3 Module ; GTX 650 ; Windows 10

Even a 450 watt power supply is fine to run that system so the one in it will be fine.

I would NOT get a VS model though. Have you already purchased it? i'd recommend returning it.

I bought that one because i was out of budget i had 50 Euros left i already bought it but i think i can return it back , any recomendations ?

You'd most likely be better off with the Delta power supply than the VS. Save up a little more until you can afford something like a grey label CX450M by Corsair.

Im thinking of streaming in the future is that gonna take more power ? if so do you think i need a better psu ?

It might use a little more power as it'd be putting more work on cpu and gpu, but the max it could possibly use would still be the same.

The Delta one should be fine.

I concur with above comments, I bought my little brother a pre-built, also had a 450W power supply with a RX 480 inside.

A 450W PSU should also have enough headroom for a Nvidia GTX 1060.

The thing that im scared is that the power supply is not good enough and damages other parts ... even tho i have enough watts

Who is the manufacturer of your PSU? DO you have a model number we can have a look at to see the specs?

It's a prebuilt Delta PSU. Have no worries.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
