Used anything is fine, to be honest, maybe don't store important data on them, though. 

 

For cheap fast storage you can't really go wrong, can you?

 

I've got a dying SSD that I use for kind of whatever, download folder and steam library. Run VMs from it.

 

Go for it, man!

 

Like @Droidbot said though, at least go for a good SSD :)

Yeah, im not fussed on the quality as long as its got acceptable read speeds. Ive even looked into drevo

I am still using a 2011 corsair ssd force 240 GT

 

The ssd toolbox show a 50% healthy time.

 

Smart is ok, none of the threshold are over 45%.

 

the total read is 27TO over 50

the total write is 24TO over 50.

 

i am pretty sure it still have 3 years to go. 

 

selling/giving it to someone with the good info should'nt be a problem !!

Simple rules:

- If it works, dont update it.

- You don't know how, just do it, you will learn.

- Test, restest, test again, and maybe it will do it.
