Accessing my broken phone...

Hameck

I have a bit of a dilemma on my hands. Last night, the screen on my LG G4 went out. I've already gone out and gotten a new phone, but I still need the files on the G4. I've tried to plug it into my PC, and that didn't work. Some sort of security measure is not letting my computer see the files.

Basically, i'm asking how I can get the files from my old phone onto my PC without using the screen.

if you have an SD card, then you can get the files off that.

it you need files in internal storage... well... There's not much hope.

if the files are really important to you, you can get the screen repaired, and then access the files.

You could try and acces the harddisk, but would strongly recommend bringing it so someone who has real knowledge about this matter

Did you by any chance have ADB enabled? I saw a post years and years ago about a guy using ADB to function as his touch screen so that he could retrieve things from the phone.

Unfortunately, no. Not to say I didn't try tho. LG loves to lock their phones tight...

OH SNAP!!! The screen came back on! Touch is still dead, but I think I might be able to use an OTG and plug in a mouse.

Gonna run to Best Buy and see if they have one.
