144Hz monitor not running at 144Hz

CWSfan16

I bought a Pixio px277 (1440p 144Hz monitor) a month ago.  I cannot figure out out to get it to display higher than 80Hz.  When I go to Display Settings - Advanced Display Settings - Display Adapter Properties - Monitor... it only gives me the option of 59, 60, 70, or 80 Hz.

Am I missing something?

I am connected via DVI-D

That's the problem.

DVI-D Can't deliver 1440p at 144Hz.

EDIT: It can't deliver that using only one connector, and your monitor has one DVI input. so displayport is the best choice.

DVI only supports up to 2560×1440 at ≈75-80 Hz.
