Hello, I'm somewhat new to building PCs. I just finished building one, but it wont boot. I tried changing the case pins already, and I checked multiple times to see if everything is plugged in. Is there anything else I should do?

For refrence, here are the parts I'm using:

Intel Core i7 6700k

Cooler Master 212 EVO

Zotac GTX Geforce 1060 6GB AMP!

EVGA 500B

Masterbox 5

Gigabyte Z170-HD3

Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB DDR4 2133

WD Caviar Blue

Pics are here

Thanks!

take off everything not needed to boot.

So only leave CPU power (double check is the right plug on both ends) , CPU, cpu cooler a single RAM stick plugged in (don't plug in ANYTHING ELSE NOT EVEN USB headers or fans.

Use inbuilt igpu for this boot.

plug it into your power and monitor and see if it boots.

than plug in your GPU, GPU power, and GPU into monitor. reboot

If it doesn't boot ( I had this problem when I rebuilt my 4790K rig when I sold it this week) than take the GPU out, clean the gold contacts on the bottom of the card with 95% alcohol, wipe with a tissue or cotton swap. reseat it, reboot.

than start plugging things in 1 by 1.

so. plug in the fans in fan headers. reboot.

plug in USB headers. reboot. (this is a big one as well, I had a client have a problem with a brand new PC case which had dodgy front panel USB)

plug in 1 SATA cable one at a time.. reboot.

etc

also what PSU you got.

good luck bro

I can't tell from the pictures if your CPU fan is plugged into the CPU fan header. If not, some BIOS' won't POST if nothing is detected on the CPU fan header. Just a thought, I suppose. There's a ton of things that can cause a system not to POST. What @maz said, start by removing any hardware that isn't required for the computer to run and go from there. Personally, whenever I do extensive cable management in new builds I often end up having to replug the 8-pin CPU power connector afterward to boot up. GL

EDIT: Someone else, down below, asked this already but could you be more specific about "but it won't boot"? Do the fans spin up at all, even for a second? Does anything ouput on the monitor?
