Rx 480 8gb nitro Minecraft terrible fps

gamerrrrrrrrrrr

I bought a rx 480 8gb nitro

I cant even ******* run the game above 20 fps...

Drivers are fully up to date in installed them from amd's website.

Specs

Mbu: Asus m5a 78 mlx plus

Psu: photon 750 watt

ram: ddr3 1600

Gpu: Rx 480 8gb nitro

CPU:Fx 6100 oc to 3.9ghz

have i over clocked my processor wrong?

Temps stay under 49c for my cpu and gpu.

I also play games like just cause 3 and I play it on medium and the frames drop down to like 40-60

Its not a bottleneck cause I ran a gtx 1050 ssc in here before and it had no issues running these games

Update: I ran this windows 10 edition and it ran allot better. still lags randomly but i have the graphics to max on there which kinda makes sense but still.

to help the framerate come a little back, download optifine. is helps a lot. but it doesn't explain the issue

It says you only have 1gb of allocated memory, could that be the issue?

I dunno. Google it, maybe this is only vRAM

I see that you are running the beta driver so maybe a driver downgrade would be in place?

Sure you have the driver direclty from amd?

I'd be more inclined to waggle my finger at the FX6100.

Minecraft only uses like 1 core.

I believe Optifine introduces multi-threading.

It runs pretty poorly on my 6300. Not THAT bad, but still.

OC settings may factor in as well.

It doesnt make sense though cause i ran a 750 ti sc perfect with game and even better with my 1050 ssc with no issues it cant be my cpu

Maybe update JAVA. Minecraft is fussy about that.

I'd look at the monitors refresh rate ( 60Hz ) and resolution....( 1920x1017 )....... what the hell is that?

When you moved from the GTX1050 to the RX480, did you make sure you completely uninstalled the Nvidia Drivers? A simply "uninstall" button won't do it. I usually use a GPU driver-cleaner utility (AMD provides an official one to remove their drivers, look for a Nvidia one).

I'd just try removing java completely, downloading it back, and reinstalling the game, it could be that either java or a game config file still remembers the old GPU and now is freaking out.
