Hi guys

So I've played BF1 for a while now and not to long ago I started to see huge fps drops from 75-35. I noticed my CPU was doing 100% which it usually doesn't. It's really weird, because when my fps drops it's just as I enter a fight, but when I walk away it remains at 35-45 until I stare in to the ground. At that point, when I'm not in combat my CPU is doing 80%, but I still don't get 75fps. (Everything else is below 100%).

If someone knows how to fix the fps drops plz tell me.

CPU: I5 4690k playing at 1080 ultra.

Looking at this, this shouldn't be happening.

Is your cpu boosting to it's full frequency? Is it oc'd?

A lot of fps drops occur when you are near smoke or fire.

No I haven't bought a CPU cooler yet so I'm running with the stock fan, but the CPU should handle it as it did before, but it doesn't.

Yes, that was my thought to, but when I equipped some smoke and fire gadgets and threw them (not being in the combat area). It didn't effect my performance significantly.

Are you running it in DX12? Try DX11 and see if it fixes the problem.

I've tried both and it doesn't help.

Doesn't this happen with other games?
