Hey guy so I want to make a custom desk cabinet or wooden box pc in general something that I can work on myself and I wanted some ideas on what to work with, tools I should buy, and maybe new parts or stuff in general to buy. Thanks in advanced here is my part list; Intel i5 6600 Msi b150m z170 micro atx board cooler master t4 gtx 960 dual fan 430 standard psu 1 wd 1 tb hard drive and a disk drive my ram is standard green pcb size pretty small I have 3 fans 1 or 2 for cooler and 1 for case. I'm thinking of starting project sometime in the summer near august just so I can save up the money, and plan a LOT cause I wanna make sure it all works out thanks

It depends on what you have planned, but if you have an idea of design it would be easier to provide input. In general for wood working your probably going to need a circular saw, jig saw for more intricate cuts and general tools like drills screws and such for simple joinery.

im thinking of using an old case for its motherboard tray, IO sheild and PCIe mounts and cutting everything else off it; arrange the PSU and drives so its as small as possible and then use wood or plastic to fill in everything except the GPU and CPU heatsinks. thats what im thinking atm

 

For another idea im thinking about knitting a case out of steel cable or copper wire
