Hi all,

So like most people here probably, I have been watching the Ryzen launch with high anticipations. I heard people are a little disappointed by the performance with gaming, but also some notes on possible fixes with future BIOS updates which gave me some specific and general questions.

- I heard that there are some issues with overclocking RAM on Ryzen, and that this may influence results. Now I always thought that the RAM speeds didn't actually give you that much noticeable performance gains. How much performance would you approximately lose if you have (for instance) 2133MHz memory instead of 3000MHz with the same latency? (Any metric will do)

- How much performance could you gain with quad over dual method? I thought that this wouldn't really be something a consumer would really notice that much.

- Have people seen significant gains in performance after BIOS releases in the past, and is there any reason to suspect that this will happen for Ryzen?

I am not asking because I want to know if I should buy it or not (couldn't afford it if I wanted to), just generally interested.

Thanks
