Virus/malware scan? What is your CPU/GPU usage while playing the game? What is your CPU/GPU temps? Since when did you clean you PC?

ive had this issue before when building a new rig that later on comes across performance issues. when you start putting playtime into your games, it starts to build up a cache that deteriorates performance and continues to build over time. However, this varies game to game. for some of these games, you can solve the issue by going into the game files and deleting certain files that build up in the cache, eliminating the problem if only temporarily. however, this method is likely not practical in your usage senario. It is very likely that the weak i3 you have is the source of the bottleneck here. although it is possible that malware could be negatively effecting your system (which i recommend checking out first), your best bet would be upgrading your cpu. if you cannot seem to solve your problem by other means, I would recommend getting this very well priced chip: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=i5+3470&_sacat=0

i would recommend going fo the non-s version as it has a different clock speed. hope this helps.
