Vray and 3ds max image rendering

My friend render architectural images on 3ds max and vray by interpolation.Is he  going to be benefited by more slower cores?

If you have v-ray you want to use gpu's if you can, other wise, core count is better than clock speed. Id get a r7 chip if your not using gpu's

you can throw as many cores as you can get at vray,or if he's using the vray rt engine (maybe ask him) get some gpu's for that

edit: to answer the question,yes vray will benefit highly from more cores

new amd server gpus are coming so if you have the money wait and get those else get a ryzen 7. and try to use gpus if your current system supports them (probably it will support 2). also use a quadro. they are made for these jobs

Do I have to take vray rt for using gpus, cause vray rt doesn't have the full feature set as compares to advanced

yes you have and just to make your life easier lots of features exist like lighting but as i found it you need to make it very bright to show up. btw be sure to use vray rt production renderer and have cuda enabled if you have nvidea
