USB failure

Turned on the computer today to find the USB mouse and keyboard turn off after post. Loading windows 7 disk causes the same thing after post. Quick boot is not on. Uninstalling the USB drivers and scanning for new hardware does not work. It fails to install the drivers.

 My mother board is the MSI C236A with BIOS version E7998IMS.210

 

I cannot figure out how to fix this issue. Any help would be great.

That's actually a nice motherboard. I would say to call MSI tech support. They may just RMA it.

I wouldn't think that would be RMA since they mouse and keyboard work in post and bios. However I will try this. I bought the board some time ago and now just started using it.

Ok I really do not understand computers. I took our the battery and let it drain of power. Reset the raid and loaded the windows disk.. it seems the USB is working for the moment. I will try a fresh reinstall and see if this does the trick.
