CPU bending+cooling

Hey so I am building a computer. And I got a I5 7600k and a cooler master air cooler the 40$ca one. When I put the computer together it wouldn't boot. I thought I needed a bios flash but the pc wouldn't boot to flash it. I took apart the computer to change motherboards and realized that the cpu was bent. (Thank god amazon refunded it.) apparently the pressure from the cooler bent the cpu. 

 

Question: withought Oc can I use a stock cooler for the while on a I5 7600k with somewhat heavy gaming?

as long as the chip is not hotter than it is rated to be, cooling does not effect performance.

The stock cooler should be fine for stock speeds. Theres a reason why its shipped along with it.If Intel shipped a cooler that doesnt cool the ship within spec that would be a waste of money
