Shouldn't be a problem... I would think the major concern would be dust build up, but if it's been in the box, that's not a concern.

I bought a psu a while back (maybe a few months back?) and now I wonder if I need to worry about anything because I haven't used it. The psu has been sitting in its box since I bought it.

Backstory:
I bought the psu because I was about to buy a new gpu but I chose to instead wait for a new amd gpu because I wanted a freesync support gpu that can reach 144hz.

The only concern would be if a problem develops with the PSU when you finally come to use it, as when it's just been bought at a retailers and find a fault with it you can usually send it back for refund or replacement.. you would instead most likely have to RMA with the manufacturer instead. Shouldn't be a problem though in most cases.

Nothing happens to a PSU if it sits in a box unused, no.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
