Giving gifts in UPlay?

So, I was wanting to buy a copy of rainbow Six Siege for a friend of mine through UPlay, since I have a 20% off promo code I can use for it. However, when I was going through the checkout stage, I did not notice an option to gift it to someone like on Steam. Can you gift games to other players through UPlay?

nope pretty sure you can't. you could let him buy the cheapest game he can manage and trade?
