Hello world,

I'm a high school student, and I'm going to be doing a project that requires funding. I'm looking for companies based in the tech world, and I haven't had much success yet. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm open to any suggestions and I really need this sponsorship.

what kind of project? in this world basically no one will sponsor or support you unless you can guarantee something that;ll make it worthwhile

I'm going to be doing a robotics project which will be displayed at at least 5 well-attended events per year for the next few years. It involves lots of CADing and building with Tetrix Robotics things.

Do you maybe have anything to show potential sponsors?

Like you going to these events, projects that are interesting and get attention. Just something that could grab the attention and make it worthy for a sponsor to do a little investment in you.

I don't really have anything big to show yet. My robotics team, which I will be president of next year, was 19th in the state of PA this year, so that's something. Really though, I need money to actually start this project.

Few realities. LMG won't sponsor anyone. They themselves rely much on sposnors for going events and doing high profile projects. As do many other Youtubers. How Youtubers gain sponsors? By doing interesting content. No one will sponsor you if you don't have something to show already. Concept, previous projects etc.

 

Don't start with big tech companies. They get these thousands per day, possibly even more. Go for local companies, some owned by friends or family, maybe some which might have some mutual interest of you project. Maybe ask from local colleges actual help. You don't need money if you can get materials and knowledge for free. That kind of sponsoring is easier to gain than pure money.

 

Prepare presentation of your group and project. Video, few pages of text and pics + good oral explanation of what you want to do and how you have planned on doing it. Remember to include time it approximately might take and where it will be seen (where your sponsors logos are shown along with finished product).
