MegaVicty

Hi everyone,

I want to buy a graphics card with a 300$ (US) budget. My system specs: i5 6600k 4.5GHz OC, MSI Z170A-PRO mobo, 16GB DDR4, 80+ Bronze 620W PSU, Hyper 212 Evo.

Go for the 8 GB RX480 or a Fury Nitro. If you prefer Nvidia, either buy a 1060 6 GB or save up for the 1070.

Performance ranking is 1070 >>> Fury Nitro > 480 = 1060.

New Build (The Compromise): CPU - i7 9700K @ 5.1Ghz Mobo - ASRock Z390 Taichi | RAM - 16GB G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 3200CL14 @ 3466 14-14-14-30 1T | GPU - ASUS Strix GTX 1080 TI | Cooler - Corsair h100i Pro | SSDs - 500 GB 960 EVO + 500 GB 850 EVO + 1TB MX300 | Case - Coolermaster H500 | PSUEVGA 850 P2 | Monitor - LG 32GK850G-B 144hz 1440p | OSWindows 10 Pro.

Peripherals - Corsair K70 Lux RGB | Corsair Scimitar RGB | Audio-technica ATH M50X + Antlion Modmic 5 |

CPU/GPU history: Athlon 6000+/HD4850 > i7 2600k/GTX 580, R9 390, R9 Fury > i7 7700K/R9 Fury, 1080TI > Ryzen 1700/1080TI > i7 9700K/1080TI.

Other tech: Surface Pro 4 (i5/128GB), Lenovo Ideapad Y510P w/ Kali, OnePlus 6T (8G/128G), PS4 Slim.

I'd go for an 8GB RX 480 since if you ever need a monitor replacement 1080p Freesync monitors are SO much cheaper than their GSync counterparts.

you can get an RX 480 8Gb for around $250, or you could save more for a 1070 for around $350.

Broke 14 Year old + No job + Love for Technology = Bad combo :(

If you want max performance per dollar, try to get an R9 Fury. If you can't find one for 300 (which is probably unlikely) get the RX 480.

If you find any grammar or spelling errors please fill out entry permit A38, thanks.
