Motorola patents throat tattoo comm device

nicehat

You thought smart watches were strange? Wearable tech just got weirder. Trying to outdo the Google Glass, and smart watches, Motorola proposed a device that:

"comprises of an electronic skin tattoo capable of being applied to a throat region of a body".

Note: Motorola is owned by Google, they really arnt competing patents. But I digress...

We know that the patent calls for a mic, an antenna, a transceiver, Bluetooth, NFC, and a battery that "may or may not be recharged"....Yea they actually wrote that. Hopefully they put some Duracell Coppertops in there xD..If this isnt weird enough, Motorola claims that the device could be used as a lie detector, picking up on the "galvanic skin response" of the user.

"It is contemplated that a user that may be nervous or engaging in speaking falsehoods may exhibit different galvanic skin response than a more confident, truth telling individual," reads the patent.

Here is the patent application so you know Im not making this up

So whats next? Then?

Wouldn't it be weird if they made pillows to work as a wireless charger for this and when we go to sleep and recharge our energy so does the hardware we have installed on us.

“Snorting instant coffee is the best,” said Kayla Johns, 19, of Portland.

Right you are. This patent is registered to Motorola Mobility. So this is a Google Patent.
