Gaming Build (intended to last 4 years after buying GPU)

Tabuu

Necroing this thread because of nostalgia (god, I hope I'm not breaking any rules), because I want to thank the others who posted in it!

This year, I finally got my own custom-built rig. Way different from what you guys recommended, but the input that was given in this thread encouraged me to do more research and perhaps tone down my price range because I realized that I was not, in fact, an overclocker, and I didn't need to pay for features I didn't need.

This is what I ended up getting:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($219.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($84.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory  ($84.98 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($83.24 @ Amazon)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card  ($219.99 @ Micro Center)
Case: BitFenix Shinobi Window ATX Mid Tower Case  ($81.73 @ Mwave)
Power Supply: SeaSonic 620W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($74.99 @ Amazon)
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer  ($15.98 @ OutletPC)

I just want to thank the members of this community for helping a complete scrub learn some stuff and, much later down the line, not make too stupid decisions on part choices.

Thanks, guys. <3
