Ubereats tip?

Is it expected that I tip the ubereats driver? and why isnt there an electronic option i dont usually have much cash on me

What is "Ubereats"?

 

With Uber, the "totally-not-a-taxi-but-yes-a-taxi" service, I believe you can tip directly through the app now.

 

Otherwise, you can tip. I think most Uber drivers probably expect/want a tip. But Uber makes it clear on their website that tipping is not required.

 

I personally think that, since it's a new service, if the drivers are getting paid properly, there should be no need to tip unless they go above and beyond normal service (Eg: Help you load a bunch of groceries, or do something else normally not expected of them).

ubereats is a food delivery service. uber partners with some restaurants and you order food on the ubereats app and uber drivers deliever the food to you. maybe you can tip with uber but i dont see anything on the ubereats app

In general, in North American cultures, you're expected to tip delivery drivers, because they don't get paid very much (usually $2 or $3 per delivery).

 

I have no idea how much they charge for delivery for Ubereats - I assume it's whatever a normal "uber" rate is for the distance between the restaurant and your delivery location. If so, I would personally tip a bit (maybe 5%), since they have to get out of their car to pick up and then deliver the food.

 

If there's no way to tip in the app, and you want to tip, cash is the only option.

i think its a fixed 5.99 rate and ok
