So i built my PC in July and i bought the TP link archer T4U to get wifi. However, it didn't really work yet it did. I play games like overwatch and when i was played i was achieving normal pings etc. however whenever i restart or shutdown my computer and play a game my ping will just jump to 2000+ ever 3 mins and i found out that i have to install the drivers every bloody time i restart/shutdown my computer......... I wanted to die. So its not Feburary that ive lived through that and so i about another wifi adapter hoping it would fix the issue..... it didnt. I bought the TP Link T6E and installed the drivers however i was still not achieving the best possible speeds, in fact i was achieving less, (i have 60Mbs speeds  but was achieving 20 with the T6E and 40 with the T4U), and so i also have to download the drivers every damn time i shutdown/restart my computer. IS THERE ANY POSSIBLE WAY TO FIX THIS?!!!!! My motherboard the the asus sabertooth z170s, i5 6600k, evga 1070. Could it be my motherboard????

USB WiFi adapters are shit. Plain and simple. Get your self a real WiFi Adapter. PCI express. I myself have a TPlink PCI Express WiFi adapter. It work fine for my use. But TPlink can be hit or miss on networking hardware. They are kinda like the Vizio of the Networking World. I have seen Gigabyte Cards like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/tTdqqs/gigabyte-wireless-network-card-gcwb867di suggested.

As far as speed is concerned, thats one of the negatives of WiFi you are not always going to get max speeds. It could be because you have a shit WiFi adapter or it could be because you have too many walls and too much interference between you and the router. If you want the most stable connection, buy and run an Ethernet cable. If you can tolerate the negatives of WiFi buy a better WiFi card.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

i would never, ever, touch toiler paper links pices of shit wifi adapters, they make OK routers and powerline adapters but they just suck at providing working wifi adapters. get something from Asus or Dlink instead. maybe you can get them returned or something. my hate for the company is deep but its all based from experience with their shit

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
