Should I Upgrade?

Would it be worth it to upgrade my ASUS GTX670 to a 780? They're much more affordable now since the price has dropped. I'm also really excited to see R9 290's with non-reference coolers. I could also wait until next year to see what Nvidia will release.

If you need the improvement. What res are you running?

 

1080p for now, 1440p monitors are still too expensive

No, 670 is good enough, wait for 800 series if you want a bigger upgrade

 

I agree, but I still want to wait and see an Asus R9 290 with their Direct CU II cooler. The price to performance of the 290 is outstanding, but the card is noisy and runs too hot

Even with an aftermarket one it will be running hot and loud. Also the 670 is a solid card for a single 1080p screen so there is no need to upgrade until you go for an higher res. (Wait for the 8xx)

The question your asking about upgrading is partly the point however, from where I stand you are really asking this

"Should I be upgrading........Now!"

So think about it properly because your going to be bombarded with many answers that are applicable but all the suggestions happily given to you aren't the right one so to speak.

It doesn't matter if you are 16. Im 18 and been working since i was 15. How else could i afford my 1440p screen and gaming rig? :D
