Okay, so I've been looking into a VR build for myself and I've gotten a $1,500 budget unlike my wife with only a $1,000 budget.

I would like the build to be mostly white, as it is easier to paint over white than it is to paint over black.

Please keep in mind the case I am using is the NZXT S340 ELITE White case.

Windows 10 and peripherals should NOT be included, this is just a budget for the rig, (Can't stress this enough, but there are always douchebags who still post it up for kicks)

Have at it fellas!

today of all days is the worst day, to want to build, wait for ryzen's reviews, before wanting a build.

you can make a cool i7 7700k 16gb ram and a GTX 1080 with this kind of budget, but really... WAIT for ryzen, it is soo close already and might be a better go, if not it will cheap up intel prices slightly which already is well welcomed.

If you go AMD, the 1700X would be a huge beast for a great price - the motherboards are decently priced as well.  For a mobo with a good black/white aesthetic, I highly recommend the AsRock Taichi - they have the same layout for either X370 (AMD) or Z270 (Intel), so either way, it's a good look.

Midnight Rig - CPU: i7-7700K / Cooler: Corsair h100i V2 / Motherboard: AsRock Z270 Taichi / RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 3200Mhz / GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW2 / SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm / PSU: EVGA Supernova B2 750W
