MSI Laptop win 7

Go to solution Solved by stin777,

It turns out, I needed to set the MSI win 7 Smart too at xp service pack 3 level...

After I did that it worked!

I don't understand why! But, I am not complaining.. It worked and that's what counts

Hi,

So I want to install Win7 on my new laptop.

I tried using the software they recommended to create a bootable USB.

The user guide said I should disable my anti-virus.( which I did)

And it won't load.

So I tried another software. I managed to work, but I ran into a problem. There are no drivers. (please insert the cd/dvd with the driverss)

But, There is no optical drive.

I did notice the is freedos on one of the drives... I have no clue what that is. and how to work it, if it is needed for the installation process.

Is there anything I can do?

did you boot to legeacy/CSM mode?

also make sure you are using only the USB 2.0 ports

if all your ports are 3.0

check in the BIOS and force disable 3.0 mode

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
