CPU Extremely cold?

It seems that@Electronics Wizardy  said it first, the Frequency does seem to be abnormally low. I couldn't change it myself and a few googles came up with nothing useful. 

 

If anyone has a video about how I can change the freq of a non-K skew chip, I'd appreciate that.

go to the bios and set the multipler to the max it will let you.

I'm a bit slow, could you run me through it here? Where will I find the multiplier, exactly what to set it to, etc. 

 

Sorry to be a pain but I'm not one to go messing with my BIOS unless I know what I'm doing.

Its normally under the cpu settings tab. 
 

What mobo do you have

 

Also set the power settings to high perfromance to see if that helps.

Ok, I have a MSI H170 Gaming M3. It's running MSI Click BIOS 5.

try high power in windows first

 

If that does nothing to the frequency then under the bios advanded mode, oc, cpu radio mode and then set it to as high as it can go. It won't hurt anything you can oc on this board.

The high power mode did nothing

 

 

so I'm currently BIOS but I don't know what the upper limits are. I'd need a number for both the voltage, SA and IO and the CPU ratio and ring ratio. 

I think it goes without saying, that I am out of my depth.

dont touch any other than the cpu multipler, just set the multipler as high as you canshould be around 36.

If this is not working it could be a bad board. Try updating the BIOS if an update is available.

So, as per the instructions of an intel tech,  I opened up my bios  and change the voltage on my CPU. However, it would appear now, that my computer will not post.  

 

At at least I previously had a semi functional station. 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
