Chromecast Not showing adverts, why?

Hi all

 

I'd like to ask for some information on the 2nd generation chromecast.

When watching any content with my chromecast I don't see any adverts on YouTube or Twitch. The reason I ask is because I don't mind watching adverts if I can support the channels I enjoy.

Seeing as the chromecast doesn't show the add does this mean that the videos I watch are not receiving ad revenue?

You could have Youtube RED applied on your account. On the Youtube app, do you see the word "Red" next to where it says "Youtube"?

No I don't have YouTube Red, I live in South Africa and it is not offered here
