I'm a HD  video editor and

I'm getting a third Disk..

Can anyone tell me if its worth it?

im living in malaysia where online buying isnt that popular :(

planning to use this new drive for scratch disk, preview files, media cache and others, so i need it to run as fast as possible, but due to the limited write cycles on an SSD, im kinda worried. since i can afford another HDD without limited write cycles at lower price point. is samsung worth the buy so? hopefully i wont burn my money?

SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 120GB SATA III SSD and 1tb HDD seagate/wd is at the same price point in my country..

Reasons to upgrade:

1.I love brands, expecially a collective of them :P JK lol

2.I'm planning to use this new drive as after effects and premiere pro media cache and preview disk

3. I have an extra sata 6G cable left after building my pc, underutilized Cable makes me feel bad :P

My current storage specs

1TB HDD Seagate

2TB HDD Western Digital

240GB SSD Kingston

Or, should i ditch the idea and use my slow HDD 1tb for media cache instead?

I'd say get the SSD especially if you're only really going to use it for this and not storing Windows on it. Even if it fails (I estimate 2-3 years away minimum unless it's faulty), you won't have anything crucial on it and can just put in a new SSD.

I edit my posts a lot.

Have you thought about using a ram disk? Or would that not work for your situation.
