They have everything you need to know. Just go through there, look at stuff, and try and come up with ideas on your own. Its a bit hard to do hackinstosh because there is a limited number of parts to choose that will work. I built one for a buddy with a 3770k, it was a pain in the ass to be honest.

Get  a gigabyte board. They secretly support hackentosh as their mobo's are designed not to freak out with the weird kernel business going on

Yea, I got my buddy a UD5H I believe it was. But honestly if that website tells you it should work, it will.

General guidelines

Intel and nvidia work %99 of the time but newer nvidia card will needa boot flag (can remember it as of now) and you most likely won't be able to get more than 2 monitors working properly.

Get a gigabyte board however if you really want asus most of their new ones are also good.

Some other things to keep in mind:

Sleep mode won't work

Wifi most likely won't work (anything from TP link is usually fine)

RAID ARRAYS BREAK EVERYTHING

otherwise it's actually pretty simple and shouldn't take more than a few hours

But you will have to get Mac OS X from a "real" Mac (I'll send you one if you give me a game code or 2 ;)

The Adata XPG v2 is underrated imo. The 4x4 will cost about $130. The Xeon is hyperthreaded and it is locked. Do you plan to OC?
