Battlefield 4 keeps starting as a background app

I keep trying to join bf4 servers and it shows up breifly in the task bar but then disappears and i open task manager and its in the background. can someone please help? I tried restarting.

I had similar problem and mine is related to borderless or windowed mode. 

 

Had to nuke/modify the config to use full screen exclusive

omg the last time i played i changed settings from windowed to borderless how do i fix it. it didnt need an update

Need to find and edit the config file in Battlefield 4 folder inside “My Documents". 

 

If you don't know how to edit it just delete the config file, make sure to create a backup first.

would reinstalling it work?

Not sure about that but that surely waste a lot of time compare to editing or deleting the setting file.

TIP: Goolge BF4 Settings editor to avoid manual editing 

In your case you might delete all files in the Settings folder

 

You can try reinstalling if above doesn't work.
