2 days ago I moved my HDD trays into the basement of my 900D, I was very careful etc when doing it all, and now after booting my pc into windows, the HDD makes a squealing noise for like ~1minute and it's god awful, I googled and it said the HDD could be failing, not sure what to do so I'm posting here.

 

It seems to be working fine, but I'm worried about it.

 

2tb Seagate barracuda is the drive

have you ran anything like crystal disc mark to see the status of the drive?

 

Does samsung magician work for that?

crystal disk mark + crystal disk info then I'll bench it and post results from all 3 in ~5mins or so when its all done

i guess ill just cross my fingers and hope it doesn't fail, and if it does hopefully seagate will lemme RMA it coz I no has money to replace it :c
