Looking for a Recommendation

Hi, I currently have a pre built PC my grandmother bought from best buy. (Amd 4-core 2.2ghz garbage. I put in a new PSU (430w) HDD, and I just bought a 1050 ti, but I'm not satisfied with the performance; I play overwatch averaging 60fps. I'm looking to spend about ~$300 on CPU and motherboard together. I plan on using this PC for overwatch, and maybe some light video editing. 

 

I was looking at the i5 7600 and the AMD FX 8350, but when watching a LTT video, he mentioned that the ghz didn't matter or something. I'm not sure, I just want a reliable cpu.

Also, If someone can drop an affordable case down in the description that would be great (:

First check what prebuilt pc it is soem use really wonky motherboard mounts and all that

Regardless of how big a pile of garbage you think your current rig is, I would stfu. Your grandmother was nice enough to buy this for you. It's just not respectful at all.

Somebody gives you a synthesizer and you take immediatley take it apart to mod it is also impolite.I still do it nontheless
