Really weird issue with earpods and headphones

thebeastman

Hey guys! I'm far from a specialist when it comes to PC audio, but something weird keeps happening to me.

Basically, every audio reproduction device I plug into my computer eventually stops working on the right side. Doesn't matter if it's via the USB port in my front pannel, like my Kraken Chroma headset, or the 3.5mm ports, like what has happened with two Apple earphones. With the Apple ones, when watching videos on YT for example, it's possible to heart a faint sound on the right side, but when doing stuff like "test" a reproduction device in Windows, both sounds, even the one intended for the right ear, come out the left one.

With my Kraken Chroma, It's weird. It happened out of nowhere and instead of simply not playing the sound supposed to be coming from the right ear, It plays the sound on the left one. I tested it with the Surround feature in Synapse and even the sounds supposed to be coming out of the right side come from the left. This unusual behavior makes me think maybe it's not broken and is some software stuff, but I tested it with Synapse unninstaled and nothing changed. Also I dont know shit about this.

I have tested both devices on other PCs and phones and the problems persist.

I would really apreciate if someone more knowledgeable could tell me if this is just a coincidence. Also, if anyone has had similar problems with headsets as I'm having with the Kraken, I could use some help.

Thanks in advance!
