I'd rather have some really fast cl5 DDR2 than this new DDR4 junk with insanely high latency and a high price tag.

True however if the manufacturing of 2133mhz become the standard over 1600mhz the price will differ a lot

Workstations will gain a larger benefit over using higher capacity and freq ram.

I think the Haswell E motherboards will be Quad channel still however only 4 slots maybe if they can also do what apple did by fitting 6gbs of ram into 4gbs then 64gbs with extra 16gb of space to push would be awesome

Actually the latency says how many clock cycles will be waited before new instructions are executed. If the freqency is higher these clock cycles will be over much faster resulting in about the same latency and way higher speed.

But fast memory barely benefits any application and there are no motherboards and cpus supporting ddr4 right now so it is pretty much useless

I'm still waiting on the 32GB stick that i saw a while back..... don't know how much i would use but how ballin would it be to have 64Gigs with 2 sticks
