On the nvidia side they have to be the same card and have the same amount of VRAM,

With AMD its a different story though

Nvidia is very finicky with SLI. You need 2 cards from the same generation and also from the same series. The only pass would be different amounts of VRAM

No, and if you could youd lose performance.

Just sell your old 260 on ebay, it might not even benefit you as a physx card.

You must be confused, since the GTX960 was able to run SLI with the 2GB and 4GB versions. They only need to be same generation and "tier". (not sure what to call it)

Wow my friend is a liar! You are right, the feature was disabled with the 600 series cards. Well now I know better
