Razer Equipment

I'm looking for a keyboard, mouse, and headset that will last me a long time and not WAY TOO expensive. I am a big fan of the Razer Ornata, but I don't really like the wrist rest. Can you take it off? Is the Razer Mamba the best mouse they have? What kind of headset should I also get? Thank you.

The Mamba still has the same damned Philips Twin Eye sensor, making it one of the least recommended Razer mice. One of the best they have is the Deathadder.

And the Ornata is a false-machanic keyboard, i wouldn't pick it up, you can also pick some real mechanic keyboards for that price, albeit not in RGB.

any reason you just want Razer? personaly i find their gear bad looking and switches horrible. really dislike the deathadder because its HUGE and super light

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

If you are looking for Razer ornata then don't just like what @Chevy_Monsenhor, get a nice actual mechanical keyboard like CoolerMaster, Corsair, logitech, etc.

for mouse, go get the Deathadder and forget about that Mamba just as what Chevy said too, or you know, might as well look for something from other brands, if you are playing FPS, FOCUS ON THE SENSOR and how comfortable it is to your hand. go look Rocket Jump Ninja on youtube, he does the best Mouse review on youtube AFAIK for now

if you are looking for the complete set with mic then go for the HyperX Cloud, or if you are looking for better audio then surely. get. an actual headphone. for headphone I'd suggest getting ones from Sennheiser, Sony, Audio-Technica, etc. But in the end, if you like how the Razer headset sounds, then surely it's your choice.

always remember this for headphone "what sounds good for me, might not good for you", not all ears are the same

You can take off the wrist rest. But don't buy the Ornata. For the same money, you can get a Corsair STRAFE with REAL mechanical switches (instead of this Mecha-Membrane crap).

The best Razer Mouse IMO, is the Deathadder, however, I would still recommend a Logitech G402/G502 instead of the Deathadder...

Razer Kraken Headphones are fairly good AFAIK...

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K | Motherboard: AsRock X99 Extreme4 | Graphics Card: Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming | RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws4 2133MHz | Storage: 1 x Samsung 860 EVO 1TB | 1 x WD Green 2TB | 1 x WD Blue 500GB | PSU: Corsair RM750x | Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro (White) | Cooling: Arctic Freezer i32

Mice: Logitech G Pro X Superlight (main), Logitech G Pro Wireless, Razer Viper Ultimate, Zowie S1 Divina Blue, Zowie FK1-B Divina Blue, Logitech G Pro (3366 sensor), Glorious Model O, Razer Viper Mini, Logitech G305, Logitech G502, Logitech G402
