If you like Xcom i would really recommend Steam World Heist

7 Days to Die, if you like zombie apocalypse survival/crafting games.

 

Also, you should get Paragon (not on Steam though, it's Epic Games) - free to play and very fun.  Like DOTA 2 but awesome graphics.

I see what you're saying but I've watched it develop over the years and I personally think it's worth the investment.

I got into it a few months ago, and i have nothing against it, i honestly think its going to be one of the best survival style games there is when its done. Its just the amount of bugs, crashes and issues i'v come across is annoying i do report them, and yes some have been fixed. But things like seeing fabricators, charging stations and lockers across the map, and not being able to use your PDA in the cyclops because its insanely large still remain

Yeah, the technical issues can be quite the annoyance but like you said, it has the potential to be one of the best survival games, of course it all come down to OP's willingness to put up with the flaws.
