Data encryption?

Hi, I just had a quick and topic specific question which would be : Are the data packets in modern fighting games (like a Naruto storm 4 ) encrypted?

I was just catching some data packets the other day on Naruto storm 4 and for the life of me I could not find any relatable data or information.

This lead me to the epiphany that maybe the data packets are encrypted.

I hope I'm not in the wrong part of the internet with this question.

If anyone could help shed some light on this I'd be grateful.

The software I was using were:

WPE and Wireshark.

More and more games are doing this, yes, but I don't know specifically if this games is doing it.  Most every network game in the last 2-3 years has had encrypted data.  This is because of a lot of privacy concerns and as a preventative measure of leaving a back door into gaming networks for hackers to exploit.

You'd have to ask the devs, but I don't see why any current game wouldn't be using TLS.
